UC Berkeley Family Portrait Session II

For the third year in a row, Hayley and Ryan have asked me to take their family photos. (Thanks guys!) The weekend of the shoot, Hayley's parents happened to be in town and I was happy to be able to capture a few shots of them with their grandkids.

While I prefer more natural, candid moments, with these sessions, most people need a little bit of direction. Which is probably why I really enjoyed taking Hayley and Ryan's photos. They always look comfortable and natural, and their smiles are infectious. They make it look easy. Of course, it also doesn't hurt that their kids are adorable.

Lake Anza Family Portrait Session

I'm excited to share this family session as my first post here.

Kim and Francis asked me to take some photos of their family for their holiday card. This family is dear to me, and they are expecting a third child early next year. I thought this was the perfect time to capture images of the four of them, just before the arrival of a new baby.

We started the afternoon by taking a ride on the steam train in Tilden Park, and ended up at Lake Anza, where the majority of these portraits were taken.

Such a fun afternoon.
